Founded in 2021 by Alicia Walton, Glemma Candle Co. is a Brooklyn-based, minority-owned small business specializing in scented soy candles in hand painted containers. The name “Glemma” is derived from the combination of the first two letters of the founder’s mother, father and sister’s names, and offers a glimmering tribute to their legacies. Alicia’s hand painted containers started as a pandemic passion project, and with the encouragement of her friends and family, they now adorn the spaces of her customers throughout New York City and beyond. After the candle finishes, the vessel becomes a beautiful home decor piece.Each custom container (made to order) will add a pop of color to your décor. Because the containers are hand painted, no two are identical even though they may appear to be. The variation of each item is a reflection of its uniqueness.
